Place Of Origin
Southern Italy
Crafted in Southern Italy, near Naples, where a long-standing tradition of artisanal woodworking informs each piece. The region is known for its rich material heritage and skilled craftsmanship, allowing every design to be shaped with precision, care, and a deep respect for natural form.
Material
Olive Burl
Olive burl is a rare and highly expressive wood, formed through natural growth patterns that create intricate grain, swirling figures, and organic markings. Each cut reveals a unique composition of knots and tonal variation, giving every piece its own distinct identity. Selected for its depth, warmth, and visual movement, olive burl brings a sculptural quality to the surface, where no two pieces are ever the same.
Manufactured Hardwood
A stable, engineered hardwood structure is used to support the natural burl veneer, ensuring long-term durability and structural integrity. This approach allows for precise construction while maintaining the integrity of the outer material. The result is a balanced piece that combines the beauty of natural olive burl with the reliability and strength required for everyday use.

Care Instructions
Olive burl is a natural material with rich variation and depth, and should be cared for with a light, considered approach. Dust regularly using a soft, dry cloth to maintain its natural sheen. For cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately, avoiding excess moisture.
Keep the piece away from direct heat sources and prolonged sunlight, as this can affect the wood’s tone over time. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these may damage the finish. With gentle care, the surface will continue to develop character, ageing gracefully while retaining its warmth and depth.
As Seen In
Our Process
Each piece begins with a handcrafted hardwood foundation, built by skilled artisans in our Southern Italy studio. Carefully selected olive burl is then cut, matched, and laid by hand, with every section positioned to highlight the wood's natural movement and character.
Once assembled, the piece is meticulously sanded and refined before undergoing multiple stages of hand-finishing and polishing. This process enhances the depth, richness, and beauty of the olive burl while creating a durable surface designed to last for generations.
Because every olive burl is naturally unique, no two pieces are ever the same, making each creation truly one of a kind.
