The Story So Far...
Meola Interiors was created by the Meola family in 1992 in Alife, a town in the south of Italy. Their passion for antiques and interior design led to a furniture making business using burl wood. Burl (or ‘burr’) wood is produced from trees with irregular growth and is prized by makers due to its rarity and beauty. Located in a small warehouse, the business quickly became a success.
Furniture was initially purchased by the Italian market, which was attracted by the high quality of construction and beautiful simplicity of each item. In more recent years, popularity has spread across Europe as discerning clients desire innovation and differentiation.
The Meola brand today is still owned and managed by the original family. Combining the past aesthetic of Art Deco with fascinating contemporary design, it continues to create elegant and unique statement pieces which are highly regarded by sophisticated clients.
